Sales Partnerships
General Information about our Partnerships;
- They are Limited Liability, LLC's: An LLC limits the liability of the members in case of a lawsuit solely to the assets of the partnership, so that its members are not personally liable or at risk.
- Number of members per partnership; Varies. We generally sell our shares in 25% increments but at times offer smaller shares. We retain between 25-50% of all horses on the roster, however, some horses shares are offered in smaller increments. Members are currently from the continental United States, as well as Europe.
- Duration of partnerships; Most racing and pinhooking ventures are from 12 to 18 months. Partners are always allowed to opt out whenever they like.
- Insurance; Equirace.com has general liability and workman's comp. policies, however it is up to the individual investor as to whether or not they want to purchase mortality insurance on their shares. We will procure that for our clients.
- What racing circuits we participate in; We race primarily at Churchill Downs and the Kentucky circut, but we also run at Arlington Park, Belmont Park and Mountaineer Park.
PLEASE NOTE: New Rules for ownership listing in Kentucky All horses owned wholly, partially and/or are managed by Equirace will be listed in the ownership line for race purposes as 'Equirace.com' (Ron Peltz, Jenilee Harrison, Shazaam, etc...). Most of the horse racing data providers list each of the entities as a different partnerships if listed as Equirace and someone else. Since our goal is to win the Eclipse award for leading owners, it makes it tough when your wins arent counted in the final tally.
